Mike Wood  – Operations & Mechanical

Mike brings over 22 years of HVAC application and engineering expertise to the firm and holds multi-certifications from ICC, RESNET, EPA, and TDLR.

In addition to his duties, Mike is also involved in our own Innovations Council, helping create enhanced product and process schema relevant to the industry.  Currently he is perfecting new framing strategies to enhance mechanical performance and delivery. “Much of our success comes from what works in the field AND that can be duplicated” says Mike. “Right now there are too many theorists. Hands-on practical application is the key.”  Mike’s exemplary  passion and integrity  for what we do at Systemhause is a cornerstone to our success.

Steve Freeman – Chief Building Inspector/Trainer

With over 80,000 inspections under his belt and many years as a home builder, Steve brings a wealth of experience to our hause as both trainer and chief inspector.  Steve holds a BS degree from University of Nebraska as well as numerous licenses and certifications in all facets of construction code.  Steve is also a published author with his latest work in the 2009 IRC Study Guides.”Inspectors helping Inspectors” is his motto and is reflected in his work ethic; we are proud to have Mr. Freeman aboard.

Darrell Dacus – Water Conservation

Darrell joined Systemhause in March 2009. He brings over 25 years experience in Horticulture, Landscape Design, and Irrigation. Darrell is a Texas Licensed Irrigator & Auditor (#5043), EPA Water Sense Landscape & Irrigation Auditor and holds a degree in Landscape Management from Richland College. He has a passion for water management and finds “out of the box” solutions to provide customers a beautiful, water efficient exterior environment. His expertise includes gray water, rain water capture, low volume irrigation, and xeriscaping.

William S. “Stan” Folsom, LEED AP – Executive Director

Stan founded the company for one reason: Promote, Educate and Administer a Fair, Unbiased Approach to Building High Performance Homes.  “While what we do is science, it is not rocket science; it is about the client making a commitment to change to a better approach in project management – we simply lead and the rest speaks for itself.”

Stan brings to the organization over 25 years of both production and custom home construction management with additional training and experience in building sciences and building code. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and holds multi-certifications from ICC, RESNET, USGBC, EPA, DOE, FEMA, FLIR & OSHA

He is a Licensed Texas Professional Real Estate Inspector & Instructor (#6427) and also serves on the North Central Texas Council of Governments Regional Codes Coordinating Committee & Green/Energy Advisory Board.
